Dr. Satyapal Singh (Born January, 1978) has been associated as coach with Para Sports (Athletics) since 2004. His trainees have won Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in Asian Para Games, 2010, 4th IBSA World Championships, 2011, IWAS Senior World Games, 2009, Asian All Star Athletics Championship, 2008.
At the National level also, his trainees have performed extraordinarily well, his trainees won 14 Gold, 6 Silver and 3 Bronze medals in 5th Para National Games, 2010 and 22 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze medals in National Para-Athletics Championships, 2012.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements in the field of coaching, the Dronacharya Award for the year 2012 is being conferred upon Dr. Satyapal Singh.

Dr. Satyapal Singh has been selected for the award for his tireless efforts in training the disabled for para-athletic competitions since the year 2007 as the official Coach appointed by the Sports Authority of India. He was the Athletics Coach of the Indian contingent which participated in the 10th Asian Para Games held in Guangzhou, China in 2010 that bagged one Gold and four Silver medals. His specialized coaching enabled the Indian sport persons to bag one Silver and four Bronze medals in the 4th International Blind Sports Federation World Championship held in Antalya, Turkey in 2011. His trainee Ram Karan Singh has been selected for the Arjuna Award for the year 2012. Jagseer Singh who was conferred the Arjuna Award in 2010 was also trained by him.
Dr. Satyapal Singh is a mild and soft spoken man who is very sensitive to the needs of the specially-abled amongst whom he has been promoting sports. The college has been fully supporting him in promotion of sports amongst the specially-abled by allowing him leave as-and-when required.
