The college reiterated its commitment to creation and free dissemination of Open Educational Resources (OERs) which is educational content created on the web by eminent educationists sans any commercial angle. Being available for free under open licence (Creative Commons), it is one of the causes that Dr. Savithri Singh, Principal firmly believes in as she espouses the twin causes of 'Free Open Source Software (FOSS)' and 'Open Educational Resources (OERs)' through "Wikieducator" by being elected a member and as Deputy Chair of the International Community Council of Wikieducator (see http://wikieducator.org).
In support of the open philosophy the college has organized several 'Wikieducator' workshops. These workshops that are dubbed "Learning for Content" or L4C workshops have been held in college, at the University of Delhi South Campus, at NCERT and in some Delhi schools. These workshops were often funded through a 'bounty' to the Principal from the 'Commonwealth of Learning (COL)', Vancouver, Canada. The workshops invited wide participation from faculty, students and other educationists not only from the college but also from other academic institutions.
The list of various OER workshops organized by the college are as follows:
The workshops usually have Dr Savithri Singh as the lead with Mr. Niyam Bhusan (FOSS evangelist and Graphic Designer) often speaking about the wonderful world of "open source" software. The hands-on sessions that involve working online on the 'wikieducator' are taken care of by resource teachers in the college.
