Best Student Silver Jubilee Award

An award of Rs 10,000/- was instituted in 2016, to commemorate the Silver Jubilee Year of the College, for the Best All Round Student of the Year. This prize is awarded to a final year student who is meritorious, actively participates in various committees of the college, contributes towards research, and wins prizes/ awards for the College. Sakshi Saraswat, B.Sc. (H) Zoology, III Year has been selected for the Best Student Silver Jubilee Award for the academic session 2018-19.
Science Meritorious Award (Faculty of Science, University of Delhi)

Dr (Ms) Usha Aggarwal Tejaswini Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to the student of B.Com (H) III Semester who has secured highest percentage of marks in the college in the University examination for II Semester. The amount of scholarship is Rs 3500/-. This year Mr. Saarthak Agarwal of B.Com (H) II Year qualified for this scholarship.

Sh. Sultan Chand Endowment Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a student of B.Com (H) III Year who secures the second highest percentage of marks in the college in B.Com (H) II Year University examination. The amount of scholarship is Rs 3500. Since, two students qualify for this scholarship this year, the value of the scholarship shall be divided equally amongst them. The following students were awarded this scholarship this year:

D. C. Arora Scholarship

This fellowship is awarded in two categories, needy and meritorious. Each of these categories comprises of 2 scholarships of Rs 6000/- each to the students of science courses.

Pushpa Paul Memorial Scholarship

The fellowship is for two meritorious girl students with a vision for the future. Under this fellowship, Rs 15,000/- is given to the selected students.

Abhinav Halen Scholarship

It is a matter of great pride for the College that Mr Abhinav Halen, a student of the first batch of B.Sc. (H) Electronics at Acharya Narendra Dev College has instituted two annual Abhinav Halen Scholarships of Rs. 15,000/- each, for needy students of the Department of Electronics (academic session 2016-17 onwards).

Krishna Toteja Memorial Scholarship

The fellowship was started from the academic session 2016-17 by a faculty member, Dr Ravi Toteja, in the memory of his mother. One fellowship of Rs. 6,000/- (Rupees Six Thousand only) per year is awarded to a meritorious and needy girl student of B.Sc. (H) Zoology.

Asha Walia Scholarship

Dr Seema Gupta, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry of the college has donated Rs. 1,00,000/- for the institution of a scholarship of Rs. 6,000/- in her Mother’s name. The Fund will be called ‘Asha Walia Memorial Scholarship’. The scholarship in later years will be awarded from the accrued annual interest.

Urmil Gupta Scholarship

Dr Seema Gupta, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry of the college has donated Rs. 1,00,000/- for the institution of a scholarship of Rs. 6,000/- in her Mother-in-law’s name. The Fund will be called ‘Urmil Gupta Memorial Scholarship’. The scholarship in later years will be awarded from the accrued annual interest.

Student Aid for Knowledge, Success, Honour and Motivation (SAKSHAM)

The college continues to offer a helping hand to needy and deserving students, in the form of financial aid through SAKSHAM. Under this scheme, Rs. 150/- is collected from students, besides monthly donations by faculty, non-teaching staff and well-wishers. After a rigorous evaluation of their needs, selected students are supported in the following categories:
1. Full fee waiver (Except Security Deposit) (A)
2. A stipend of Rs.1000/- per month for ten months (B)
3. Stationery + photocopying upto Rs. 3000/- for the academic year (C)
4. Book-bank aid (5 books for every grantee) (given to all candidates selected for SAKSHAM) (D)

Ms. Teena Gupta Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was instituted in the year 2006-07 in the memory of Ms. Teena Gupta, an alumnus of the Department of Electronics from the College and faculty in the Department of Computer Science who passed away at an early age. There are six fellowships worth Rs. 6,000/- each and is awarded to needy cum deserving students of B.Sc. (H) Electronics and B.Sc. Physical Sciences (Computer Science).

Award to “Topper Meritorious Students of Academic Session of 2017-18 studying in GNCTD funded Colleges”

The Directorate of Higher Education, Government of NCT of Delhi rewards the toppers from Delhi Government funded colleges of University of Delhi. For 2017-2018 Rahul Chawla of B.Sc.(H) Electronics I year was awarded Topper Meritorious Award of Rs 10,000.

Dr Saumya Saxena Memorial Scholarship

Dr Saumya Saxena, our beloved colleague from Botany department passed away on March 23, 2017. In her memory her husband Dr Harsh Kumar has instituted a fund which would be used to award a scholarship of Rs 10,000 to a girl candidate from B.Sc. (H) Botany. This year based on recommendation of selection committee the scholarship has been awarded to Ms. Pooja of B.Sc. (H) Botany III Year.
