The faculty strongly believes in pursuing research to keep themselves abreast of latest happenings around the world and with a strong support from the College authorities in the form of laboratories augmented with state-of-the-art equipments as also 24-hour power back- up.
Education in a Lively, Innovative Training Environment Summer Fellowship: College’s self funded fellowships of Rs.1000/- p.m per student which are offered to 200 students. These allow all interested students to take on summer projects under a Mentor teacher during vacations i.e. June and July. Provides first exposure to diverse research possibilities and helps them learn various laboratory techniques and skills, do data collection through field studies, conduct surveys, interact with various external field experts, exposure to current research, inculcate habit of reading research journals and get an opportunity to execute their innovative ideas into practice. The programme designed has been an experiential educational opportunity and add to the student's knowledge base in their major or career field of interest.
University of Delhi has taken an initiative to promote research by undrgraduate students so that they can take informed decisions. From this academic session University has started a scheme Inovative Projects to be undertaken by the undergraduate students. The scheme is trans-disciplinary involoving three faculty members and one expert. The scheme is for one year in which University grants Rs.10 lacs. Under this scheme six projects have been sanctioned to the college.
In order to promote and encourage young entrepreneurs Acharya Narendra Dev College has set up an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) that is sponsored by Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India to develop an entrepreneurial culture among the academic institutions. The objective of establishing an IEDC is to set up an institutional mechanism to create self employment opportunities and to convert "job-seekers" into "job-generators".
