| Procedure for Application |
Candidates must fill up the pre-admission form, available from any of the distribution and collection centers notified by the University of Delhi. Students who wish to apply for any course in the college should fill up the Common Pre-admission form of the University and opt for Acharya Narendra Dev College in the ‘option of colleges’. Pre-admission form for our college is also available in our college. The students are required to preserve the acknowledgement slips of the pre-admission forms and produce it at the time of admission. |
| Procedure for Admission |
Candidates selected for admission based on cut offs or entrance test will be required to fill up and submit the Admission Form (attached with the prospectus) along with following original certificates and attested copies thereof: |

In case the student is already enrolled in the University they should provide the University Enrollment number in the admission form. Candidates who are unable to produce any of the above mentioned certificates either because their university/ board has not issued the same till the last date of admission or because of any other reason may be given provisional admission. If they are unable to submit the requisite documents by 16th August 2008 their admission shall stand cancelled. |
Admission shall be subject to verification of the certificates. Where necessary, the college retains the right to seek authentication from the concerned authorities issuing the certificates. |

As per University rules 22 ½ % of the total number of seats are reserved for the candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Tribes (15 % for Scheduled Castes and 7 ½ % for Scheduled Tribes – interchangeable, if necessary). |

Students belonging to schedule castes/tribes who are bonafide residents of the Union Territories including National Capital Territory of Delhi are exempt from payment of University examination fees. |

Children /Widows/Wives of Armed Forces Personnel |

As per University rules 5 % of the total number of seats in each of the courses have been reserved for the children/widows/wives of the Armed Forces Personnel, killed or disabled in action in wars. The candidate wishing to avail this benefit must submit a certificate to that effect. |

3% of the total seats are reserved for Physically Challenged candidates. |

Candidates of the above three categories will be registered centrally by the University and the College shall admit only those candidates who produce the Provisional Admission Slips issued by the University. |

Other Backward Classes |

The policy of reservation for the OBCs under the Central Education Institution Act is being implemented from the academic session 2008-09. Socially and Educationally Backward Classes/ OBCs who are eligible for availing the benefits of reservation will be as per Central lists for SEBCs/ OBCs as per Resolution No. 12011/68/93-DCC (C) of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment available at the website of the Commission. The OBCs shall not include socially advanced persons (creamy layer). Please see the following websites for details: http://ncbc.nic.in/backwardclasses/index.html ;http://ncbc.nic.in/html/creamylayer.html OBC students have to apply along with general students in the same pre-admission forms, but mark clearly that they belong to OBC status. This year 18% of seats in each course will be reserved for the OBC (non-creamy layer) as per decision of the University to implement the reservation in phases over three years. Students have to produce an original OBC certificate in their own name that states that they are not from the creamy layer (socially advanced persons). |
The college reserves the right to issue any further notifications with regard to OBC reservations following any decisions by the University/college on the matter. |

As per University rules, 5% of the total number of seats, separately both in Honours and Pass Courses (I year only), will be offered for admission on the basis of sports and co-curricular distinctions. |

The admission on the basis of excellence in sports as well as extra-curricular activities will be finalized by the College on the recommendation of separate committees set up for the purpose. The committees shall screen/evaluate the application, hold interviews and trials and recommend admission. The level of Competency in sports will be determined only of those candidates who have achieved distinctions in sports during the last three years. Following is the order of preference for admission on the basis of sports in the under graduate courses: |

Participated by representing India in any event/game at the International level (Certificate to be submitted from the Ministry of Sports/Federations.) |

Participated in any event/game in Junior National Championship (Certificate to be submitted from the National Federation of concerned games(s). |

c. |
Participated in the Winner/Runner up Teams and secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in individual event in National School Games (Certificate to be submitted from the National Schools Games Federation/ Directorate of Education of the concerned State). |

d. |
Participated in the All India Rural Sports and Women Sports Festival and secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in individual event or a Team (Certificate to be submitted from the National Institute of Sports). |

e. |
Participated and secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in Inter Zonal Tournament or 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in individual events (Certificate to be submitted from Directorate of Education of the concerned State). |

A photograph of the sports person should accompany the sports certificate and both should be duly verified by the issuing authority and the Head of the Institute last attended. |

Any student submitting false/forged/fake certificates will be debarred from admission to any course in any college of the university for three years. If he/she is admitted his/her admission will be cancelled. Such cases will be notified to all colleges. |
Candidates seeking admission on the basis of sports and extra-curricular activities (ECA) are required to apply through the pre-admission application form of the college by 16th June 2009, giving details of the activities at the school level on a plain paper along with the photocopies of the relevant certificates and testimonials. These may be submitted to the PA to the Principal. The list of the candidates short-listed for the trials along with the dates will be displayed on the college notice board on 30th June 2009 at 2:00 P.M. These admissions will be finalised by July 10, 2009. |
