The Academy has instituted the INSA Teachers Award to recognize and value excellence, consistency and high level of teaching in Indian Colleges, Universities and Institutions. The award aims to recognize and honour teachers who have provided guidance, inspiration and mentored students to take up careers in Science and Technology. The awardees shall receive a scroll, a cash award of Rs. 50,000/- and a one-time book grant of Rs. 20,000/-.
The award will be conferred to Prof. Gagan Dhawan, Department of Biomedical Science in the Anniversary General Meeting of the Academy in December, 2020.

The award was conferred to Prof. Urmi Bajpai, Associate Professor in the Department of Boimedical Science in the Anniversary General Meeting of the Academy in December, 2018
Professor Charu Khosla Gupta was selected for a Bilateral visit to SLOVENIA (European Union) for 02 weeks in September/October 2019 under Indian National Science Academy (INSA)-Slovenia Academy of Sciences (SASA) International Bilateral Exchange Programme (IBEP). She worked in collaboration with Prof. Milena Horvat, Head, Department of Environmental Sciences, Josef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, SLOVENIA on Environmental Monitoring of Ambient Air Pollution (AAP). Development of standardized methods for monitoring of AAP and sensing of heavy metals including targeted research, advanced monitoring strategies and intercomparisons were the key outcomes of the bilateral visit. She also delivered two talks on ‘Mitigation of Ambient Air Pollution’ at Josef Stefan Institute and at Osnovna šola Spodnja Šiška Elementary School, Ljubljana.
