The OPAL Award

In spirit and principle, Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC) has always believed in being an institution dedicated to democratic ways of functioning. It is deeply embedded in the very ethos of the College and is manifested in every aspect, whether in the manner in which the various college committees are formed and function or the sharing of educational resources are concerned. In keeping with this practice, the College has been committed to the Open Educational Resources (OER) movement in India since 2006. The College has been at the forefront of the advocacy of OER among educational institutions. The work done by the College in this field was recognized internationally when it was conferred with the ‘OPAL Award’ in 2011 in Berlin for quality and innovation through open educational practices.
