Delhi Node of the National Network of Mathematical and Computational Biology (NNMCB) was funded by Science and Engineering Research Board, Government of India. This network aimed to provide hands-on training in mathematical and computational biology to both undergraduate/postgraduate students by organizing national and international visitors’ programmes and workshops.
Acharya Narendra Dev College, in association with NNMCB-Delhi Node organized a three-day instructional workshop on Proteomics and Proteogenomics: Hands-on Protein Identification and Gene Discovery from Mass Spectrometry Data. The workshop had 70 participants (01 post-doctoral, 27 doctoral, 18 postgraduates and 16 undergraduates. The training/practical knowledge gained through this workshop could help the participants in enhancing their skills in research and their potential for employment. The resource persons for the workshop included Debasis Dash (CSIR-IGIB), Amit Kumar Yadav (DBT-THSTI), Uma Dhawan (BCAS, DU), Dhirendra Kumar (CSIR-IGIB) and Gagan Dhawan (ANDC, DU). The Organising Committee of the workshop consisted of Dr. Savithri Singh (Principal, ANDC), Dr. Gagan Dhawan (ANDC) and Dr. Sanjay Jain (Department of Physics, DU).
