The Department offers Bachelor with Honours in Commerce, the prenominal course of University of Delhi since its inception 1991. Recently in the year 2020, the department has introduced a new committee, “BODHINI”, Academic Events and Research committee. The idea is to instil amongst students and faculty critical thinking, research capabilities, discussions for their overall academic growth.
The societies are involved in organizing departmental fests, seminars, webinars, workshops and various activities aimed at providing exposure and opportunities to the students and teachers to polish their skills from time to time and also learn some new ones which thrusts up their attitude and aptitude thereby leading to their overall growth. ‘Let’s talk’, an event conducted by Vanijya in which eminent speakers are invited to share their knowledge and experiences with the students. The society BODHINI publishes the famous Semi-annual Newsletter known as “The Chronicles” . We have come up with two issues last year showcasing the events held under the aegis of Vanijya and Bodhini, stories, poems, articles by student as well as faculty.
Many students from commerce are a part of the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC)” and are actively engaged in various events organized by it.
