Infrastructure Guidelines

The college is still located in a school building but infrastructure has been gradually added and existing ones revamped to take care of the ever burgeoning needs. The same include but are not limited to well-equipped laboratories, air-conditioned library, multi-media enabled classrooms, wi-fi (100 Mbps and above) in entire campus, other IT infrastructure in Committee room, Web Facilitation Centre & Conference centre, sports ground with associated facilities to name a few. The underlying factor kept in mind for all infrastructure development necessarily included aspects of energy conservation, environment protection and accessibility for differently abled besides cost factor. All infrastructure was procured via a Central Purchase Committee (CPC) duly constituted in the Staff Council of the college that had representatives from all Departments.Also three member purchase committees were constituted for individual Departments for their purchases which consisted of current, previous and next Teachers-in-Charge. Both CPC and Department Committees duly followed all General Financial Rules (GFR) notified by Government of India from time to time. Specifically for items amounting to less than Rs. 15,000/- direct purchase from vendor was permitted provided the vendor was reliable and that goods supplied were of good quality. For purchases between Rs. 15,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000/- market survey method was followed wherein vendors were identified, estimates procured followed by comparative statement and consequential order. For purchases between Rs. 1,50,000/- to Rs. 15,00,000/- limited open tender method was followed which was duly advertised on DU portal as well as Central Government. For specific computers and IT related purchases NICSI was contacted and items were procured from them. For general items related to office, accounts and library, services of DGS & D were utilized. The college subscribes to several reputed journals and periodicals and therein services provided by INFLIB-NET and DU library system were utilized. For sports dedicated grant is provided by Govt. of NCT of Delhi and the same was utilized while following GFR valid at that point of time.
