ELITE (Education in a Lively, Innovative Training Environment Summer Fellowship)

The impetus for UG research at ANDC begins with ELITE– ‘Education in a Lively Innovative Training Environment’ Summer Fellowship Programme wherein 200 students get an opportunity to take up projects during summer holidays with a stipend of Rs. 1000/- per month. This allows all interested students to take on summer projects under a faculty mentor during the summer break i.e. June and July. It provides them an exposure to richness of explorative science and hence the career opportunities offered by research world. These young researchers learn various laboratory techniques and skills, do data collection through field studies, conduct surveys, interact with various external field experts, learn the importance of literature surveys by reading research journals. They are thus prepared to execute their innovative ideas into practice. The programme has been designed as an experiential educational opportunity which will strengthen the students’ knowledge in the area of their major interest.
